He started his career in South Africa where he was instrumental in designing and implementing technological infrastructures in the financial infrastructure domain working with the central bank, national treasury, financial exchanges, central securities depository, clearing house and commercial banks. From 2005 he has been responsible for designing mission critical technological architecture for national payment system implementations. He played a key role in major financial infrastructure development projects in Scandinavia, the Middle East, North Africa, Sub Saharan Africa and Central America as the Technical Director of a major international supplier of national payment system software solutions, which was based in Switzerland.

During 2010 he returned to his real passion – helping his customers through SumbionSF to define, procure and implement appropriate solutions in response to clear and agreed business needs.
